White-trimmed replacement windows on a charcoal-sided two-story Colorado home

Replacement Windows in Denver and the North Metro

Independent, so we are not stuck selling you one brand. Real prices, honest answers about repair versus replacement, and no four hour sales pitch.

Schedule Your Free Consultation

Most window companies in Denver sell one brand. Not because it is the best fit for your house, but because it is the only thing they are allowed to sell. The consultation is not really a consultation. The answer was decided before anyone knocked on your door.

We work differently. We are independent. Nobody upstream tells us what to put in your house, which means we can tell you the truth about what your home actually needs, including when the honest answer costs us the sale.

You are in charge here. We will give you the information, the options, and the real numbers. You decide.

You pick the window, not us

We can source dozens of manufacturers. The five we know cold are Sierra Pacific, ProVia, Milgard, Pella, and Amsco, because we have installed enough of them along the Front Range to know how they behave here after five winters.

That is not a menu you are stuck with. It is where our hands-on experience runs deepest. If you have researched a brand we do not stock, or your neighbor had something installed you liked, or an architect specified a line for you, bring it to us. In most cases we can get it.

What this actually buys you: when a whole home quote comes back higher than you expected, a company that sells one brand has exactly two moves. Lose the job, or push you toward financing you did not want. We have a third move. We can show you what the same house looks like on a different line, at a different price, and let you decide whether the difference is worth it to you.

That conversation is not available at a company that only sells one thing.

What replacement windows actually cost in Denver

Most homeowners start this process expecting a number in the four thousand dollar range, because that is roughly what the national lead generation sites publish. Those numbers are not real for this market.

Here is our read, from our own jobs, not from a third party:

Averages are close to useless in this category. Window work clusters at two extremes. A lot of homeowners replace one or two failed units. A lot of homeowners replace everything at once. A published average lands in the middle and describes a project almost nobody buys.

The useful instruction is simpler. Count your windows. Pick a tier. Multiply.

We publish this because we would rather lose a homeowner in the first five minutes on the internet than in the fourth hour at their kitchen table. The four hour in-home sales presentation exists in this industry because it takes about four hours to walk someone from five thousand dollars to thirty thousand dollars. We would rather just tell you.

Do you actually need replacement, or just repair?

Most window companies in Denver will not touch a repair. There is no money in it for them, and the visit only pays if it converts to a full replacement.

We repair windows. Sash and balance work, seal failures, frame repair, glass replacement.

Sometimes repair is the right answer and we will tell you so. A single failed seal on an otherwise healthy twelve year old window is a repair, not a reason to replace nineteen other windows that are working fine.

Sometimes it is not. If the frames are failing, if the hardware is obsolete and unavailable, or if you are patching the fourth unit in two years, repair is money spent on a problem that is going to come back.

We will give you the answer either way. That is the whole point of not being paid to give you only one of them.

What Colorado does to windows

The Front Range is harder on windows than most of the country, and it fails them in specific ways.

Altitude. Denver sits high enough that sealed insulated glass units built at sea level can arrive under pressure stress. Manufacturers handle this differently. Some use capillary tubes, some build to altitude, some do neither and hope. It matters, and it is worth asking about before you sign anything.

Sun. Front Range UV exposure is intense and year round. It degrades seals, breaks down vinyl, and fades interior finishes faster than a homeowner moving here from the Midwest expects.

Temperature swing. A sixty degree swing inside a single day is normal here. Materials expand and contract through that cycle every day for twenty years. It is the swing, not the cold, that opens seals and racks frames.

Window styles we install

Frame materials across vinyl, fiberglass, composite, clad wood, and wood, depending on the line and what your house calls for.

We install doors too, with the same crew and the same standards. See our door installation.

Energy efficiency, stated honestly

ENERGY STAR certified options are available across the lines we install, including products certified for the Northern climate zone that covers Colorado.

We are not going to tell you what your utility bill will be after the work. Nobody selling you windows can honestly tell you that, because it depends on your insulation, your HVAC system, your habits, and the weather. Anyone who hands you a specific savings number or a payback period is guessing and dressing it up as math.

What we will do is show you the actual NFRC ratings on the exact units we are quoting, explain what each number means, and let you compare them yourself across brands.

Source information on window performance ratings is published by ENERGY STAR and the U.S. Department of Energy.

How this works

  1. Free consultation. We come out, measure, look at what you actually have, and listen to what is bothering you about it.
  2. Real options. Usually two or three, across different manufacturers and price points, with the trade-offs explained.
  3. A written quote. Line itemized. No expiring same-day discount. No pressure to sign at the table.
  4. You decide, on your timeline.
  5. Installation by our own crew, with the site cleaned up and the old units hauled off.

Paying for it

We work with three financing paths, including two Colorado programs we are an authorized contractor for. Which one fits depends on the project, and one of them has terms that transfer with your property, which is exactly the kind of thing a volume seller will not mention until page four.

Common questions

Do I have to replace all my windows at once?

No. Plenty of homeowners do it in phases, worst units first. We will help you decide which ones those are.

How long does installation take?

Most whole home jobs run one to three days depending on window count and whether the job is retrofit or full frame. Single units are usually a few hours.

Retrofit insert or full frame replacement?

Retrofit keeps the existing frame and is faster and cheaper. Full frame takes the whole assembly out and is the right call when the frame itself is failing or when you want to change the window size. It is close to a two times cost difference, so it is worth understanding which one you are being quoted.

Do you handle permits?

Yes, where the jurisdiction requires one.

What if I want a brand you did not mention?

Tell us. In most cases we can source it.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, on our workmanship, alongside the manufacturer's warranty on the product itself. Warranty details →

No four hour presentation. No same-day-only pricing. No one brand we are required to sell you.

Just a measurement, real options, and a written number you can think about.
